yarndragon I specifically bought this album due to the track "No One But Thee" , but I love every song on this album and it is great for Autumn/Winter vibes. Deeply adore it. Favorite track: No One But Thee.

The Island and the Sea  who are we? We are nothing  there is only an island  surrounded by a beautiful sea And in this sea and on this small land you have it all why would you need why would you need anyone at all?  the sea curls crests of luminescent blue crashes of white, monsters of grey thunder, wind and nothing at all  you have caught me on a line  the hook tears my flesh and I could be something  currents that guide the castoff home  who am I? I am nothing  I am only an island surrounded by a beautiful sea and in this sea and on this small land  why would you need?

I am a wandering man
wading through water
 waist deep, wading through sand
I am a wandering man
with a broken down soul
drawing through water a penless hand and I've never seen such angry nights
 burning fires of twilight
burning fires every time
doused by the crying night I am a concentrating man
looking for everything to avoid who I am
I am a concentrating man
using my feet to avoid looking at the cracks in my hands and I've never seen such angry nights
burning fires of twiligh t
burning fires every time
doused by the crying night I am a hurting hunting man
 armed with nothing
waiting on the sound of a water boiling pan
I am a hurting hunting man
pulling water from a pail to wash away as much as I can and I've never seen such angry nights
burning fires of twilight
 burning fires every time
 doused by the crying night

The Glow 03:33
my horizon is ever changing it is the sky’s ceiling and the doorway to an infinite sea and we have a doorway too and footprints that stretch across the sky I once paddled through the stars in a lonely northern boat and capsizing I did fear but with you I believe I could walk through the starkness of space and feel my feet warmed by the glow oh the glow and feel my feet warmed by the glow of distant stars there’s a tenderness in your breathing and it slows the count of minutes and our lungs find company in matching rhythms and the ocean counts the time in the washing away of tides and mountains count the time in landslides
4.
you were an ocean that I tried to cross
I was a desert where we both got lost for a lifetime
we broke apart like a cliff after winter
there ain’t no ice to keep us a mountain no more the river has a voice like a sweet mandolin
she sounds like a bird that has two broken wings
there ain’t nowhere she’ll go
there ain’t no place that I’ll go that the shoreline don’t know you were an ocean, I was a desert
you were an ocean I tried to cross God is a twisted and weathered pine
we cut its branches and built us a fire that gave no warmth at all gave no warmth at all
the wood was the green of a northern river
we poured gasoline on this life and burnt it to ash
5.
Spring 04:10
the darkness fell with the fading sun winter stole our water, left us with none now we are keeping the rocks company the ice in the inlet is all broken up and it sounded a lot like all of those cups that you broke while you were trying to find yourself spring is here spring is here the papers piled up like the buildings of books that we tried to consume, hung our hats on their hooks and now we are floating on boats built of words our minds travelled places our feet longed to go our hearts crafted words that our hands longed to sew apprentices have to know how to feel alone my heart is packed up like the bags that I've got my eyes are set forward on a far away spot that i found on a map that is torn along the folds my wings fly tomorrow built strongly of steel my lungs draw in breaths that design how I feel I hope that it won't be so hard to be alone
6.
Winterkill 03:23
there is a forest there is a lake there is a silence I don’t know how to take you were my best friend you were my guide I pushed you too hard I led with my pride winterkill, it’s gonna be a bad year winterkill, it’s gonna be a bad year winterkill, it’s gonna be It’s gonna be winter is coming with no summer thaw our mouths were frozen we said nothing at all maybe I’m jealous maybe your mad I want to get back the things that kids have
7.
Excerpt from a Baha’i Prayer oh my god there is no one but thee to allay the anguish of my soul thou art my highest aspiration oh my god oh my god my heart is wedded to none save thee and such as thou dost love I solemnly declare my life and death are both for thee they are for you they are for you for you oh my god there is no one but thee to allay the anguish of my soul thou art my highest aspiration oh my god oh my god
8.
through my paces in exile I see you wear the stripes of a polar wanderer you wear deception of magnetic north where patience is life and its the reveal of certain death how many years will my lungs breath in every breath in the shape of your name and how many lakes will I drown in until I find the shoals that I know done gone and sunk us all what kind of wanderer is not a drowning man what kind of exile has not a wounded soul what kind of life is always fleeing someone or something I want to find some place that feels like a home I thought I had someplace that felt like a home how many landscapes will my body memorize incase you want to take me back how many lives will you jump ship until you recognize that you’re a lonely and broken man through my paces in exile I see you wear the stripes of a polar wanderer you wear deception of magnetic north where patience is life and its the reveal of certain death
9.
the King and I
set foot in God's land
and witnessed the power of mountains shifting and the tremble of men praying you ain't seen nothing cause I ain’t been nothing yet hunters are always seeking and seekers sometimes find God we found pockets of storm clouds on Himalayan roads we drove there under the duress of love
we were saved by something bigger than you and I we were saved by separation we were paired like the skyline and the sea
and when the tempest moved on all that was left was a great space in-between
 you ain't seen nothing
cause I ain't been nothing yet
10.
L'ouragan 02:53
11.
if I walked myself down this road
it was for something
the storm is finally blowing in
long after I choked on the dust
the red air turned into red mud
left stains on my feet and in my lungs when I close my eyes
oh the things I see
I am finally breaking
along the cracks this country wore in me the damage the darkness of drowning in a dreamers sea there is a demon that lives inside of me
and pulls me down into heaviness
and here I am under the rubble of the avalanche caused by the slow erosion that I let go for too long
and now I need to dig myself up
to the light of day
